Asin Thottumkal better known as mononymously as Asin who is an Indian film actress, stage performer and model who acts primarily in Kollywood and Bollywood film industry. In 2001 Asin has made her debut in acting in director Sathyan Anthikkad's Malayalam language film named "Narendra Makan Jayakanthan Vaka". In 2003 Asin Thottumkal had her first commercial success with the Telugu language film titled "Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi" and won the "Filmfare Best Telugu Actress Award". In 2004 M. Kumaran son of Mahalakshmi in it's remake was her acting debut in Tamil film industry and it earned her nomination for "Filmfare Best Tamil Actress Award". In 2005 Asin received her second "Filmfare Best South Actress Award" for her performance in her second hit Tamil film named "Ghajini". Asin Thottumkal has made her acting debut in Bollywood films with "Ghajini" in 2008, the remake of its Tamil version, which also earned her winning the "Filmfare Best Female Debut Award". She appeared in the movie named "Ready" in 2011 opposite to Salman Khan which marked her as one of the leading Bollywood actress.
